Acle Pre-school
About us
Acle Pre-school is a registered charity organisation run by a voluntary committee, and delivered through dedicated and enthusiastic staff. At Acle Pre-school, we encourage children to learn through play, allowing opportunities to explore, discover and revisit activities to reinforce learning. This allows children to build on their self-esteem, independence and confidence, but above all we encourage children to have fun!

We plan our sessions around a story based curriculum, with a focus on communication and language, amongst the other 6 areas of learning set out in the EYFS. Our assessment and observation is guided by Development Matters.

We aim to provide a safe and happy environment where our children are encouraged and stimulated at their own pace, to enjoy new experiences, experiment with activities, material and media, gain social and communication skills, learn to express themselves and develop pre-literacy and numeracy skills.

Our children are also encouraged to use their personal interests in their play through continual provision and child led activities. We operate a free flow system for as much of our sessions as is possible.
We operate a key person system at Acle Pre-school, this give the children the security of a familiar face and someone who is their main carer within the setting that they can form a strong bond with.
